UNIONE Japan Expo Paris

From July 14 to 17, 2022, the Japan Expo in Paris took place. UNIONE a Japanese group were brought by the NEOKYO team. The boys were excited to see their European audience.

For those who don't know, UNIONE (pronounced Ounioné) is made up of four talented men.

There’s ISSY, he’s the one who sets the mood on stage.

YUUKI takes advantage of his experience to create harmony.

JIN, is Korean and knows how to speak Japanese, Korean and English.

SAM is Japanese and Filipino, he has a natural talent for soul music and R&B.

The group made their major debut for Sony Music in 2016 with "One Sided Love".

During their 4 days at Japan Expo, the boys enjoy their time with European fans. Precisely, anime fans will recognize, during their LIVE on stage, the title song REVIVE, the ending of "CODE GEASS - Lelouch of the Rebellion". The MV plays on the screen behind the group and the fans go wild in the crowd.

Fans could also have access to photos and autographs. Thanks to the translators from the Japan Expo or the NEOKYO staff, fans could even exchange a few words with them. There were also a few visits to the NEOKYO stand where I was a volunteer.

Throughout the stay, I know that UNIONE was happy to be able to meet their fan and share with them. It was with smiles on their faces that they returned to Japan and hope to be able to return to France in the future.

On December 14, 2022, UNIONE announces an indefinite pause in their group activity. ISSY makes a living and posts from time to time for her fans on Instagram. YUUKI will continue his activities as a lyricist with singers and mainly for a Johnny's group. Finally, SAM and JIN will form a two-person group name J4M.
